Jordan Arthur Smith designs for the “post-human.” Deprioritizing the human in his process of design takes away his constraints in fashion, and simultaneously asks us to re-examine our relationship with clothing. Smith shapes his hand-made clothing around sculptures and ceramics, rather than the human form. Wearing his work, our bodies are distorted to take on their structures, becoming alien and unfamiliar in the process.
